Liquid Cold has completed the first phase of its joint study with an ASX Top 50 listed petroleum operator to assess a new domestic gas market.
The study results strongly suggest CNG/LNG solutions are commercially viable within the target study region, to seed and initiate discrete captive user groups with a view to later grow and extend these mobile natural gas network(s) to establish a viable domestic gas market.
One major finding is that such projects will deliver benefits beyond purely commercial returns, extending to domestic market sustainability goals including energy security, job and value creation, greenhouse gas reductions, and a host of other related benefits shared by all participating stakeholders.
This phase of the study focused on a number of stranded and flare/waste gas sources, and targeted regions involving captive vehicle fleets, mining, heavy industry use and population centres in general. The work also involved coordination with on-going IPP (Independent Power Provider) initiatives in-country to ensure stakeholder benefits are maximised.
The next phase of the project to initiate the study outcomes will commence in early 2016.
